How do I create an account?
Download Hatch, tap Create Account, and follow the steps to verify your email and phone number.
Is Hatch free to use?
Yes — Hatch is completely free to start using.

Profiles & Matching
How does matching work?
Hatch compares your preferences and lifestyle details with others to find compatible matches.
If you both “like” each other, you Hatch a match and unlock chat.
Can I edit my profile later?
Yes. You can update your photos, preferences, or personal details anytime under Settings → Edit Profile.
What does the compatibility score mean?
Your compatibility score shows how closely your lifestyle, habits, and preferences align with another user’s. The higher the score, the stronger the match.
Safety & Verification
How does Hatch keep users safe?
Every user must verify their email and phone number before using the app.
Can I report or block someone?
Yes — go to the user’s profile or chat, tap the “â‹®” menu, and select Report or Block.
Reports are reviewed by Hatch’s moderation team for safety.

Chat & Communication
How do I message someone?
Once you both “like” each other, a chat will automatically open in your My Hatches tab.
You can start a secure in-app chat.
What if someone behaves inappropriately?
You can report them directly from the chat or their profile, or contact hello@hatchahome.com

Listings & Rooms
How do I list a room?
Tap List a Room, upload at least three photos, and fill in your property details.
Once submitted, your listing will be visible to compatible users.
Can I edit or remove a listing?
Yes — go to My Listings and choose Edit or Remove.
What should I include in my listing?
Be honest and specific — include rent, bills, location, availability, and lifestyle details.
The more detail, the better your matches.

Account & Settings
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Account → Change Password.
If you forget it, use the reset link on the login screen.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account.
This permanently removes your data and chats from Hatch.
